Revolt of the Lamebren: Book 1 of the Super Dome Chronicles by Manjiri Prabhu - Book Review

"Revolt of the Lamebren," Doesn't the title instantly grab your attention? Like, it must be something to do with extra-terrestrial beings and all sci-fi stuff. My interests were already piqued the moment I saw the title; I prepared myself for a good roller coaster ride, and honestly, what a super joyride it was. Three cheers to Manjiri's imaginative and creative ideas; I couldn't help but find a slight relevance to our present-day world.

I adored the fact that there is a map and hierarchy world depicted at the very start of the book. The first couple of chapters were a little bewildering with all the number-names, the characters, and the places; I had to go back and keep checking my notes about whos who. But once I got into the flow of reading, it was very smooth and enjoyable. The writing is uncomplicated, with the perfect amount of details entailed.

Altklugs, Lamebrens, Preceptors, Commanders, each and every character described in the story, I could find a connection to our current world. We people usually consider those with more inferior mental smartness to be stupid and that they are to be ruled upon. The higher the intellect, the more power to control the world. Is that actually appropriate? This book presents the scenarios very thoroughly.

The book is slightly lengthy and demands utter concentration, but with a plot like this one, it's imminent, and don't really mind it. Apart from a couple of glitches, the book has excellent vocabulary usage. The narration is simplistic yet very unique. I am pleased there's more to the chronicles and can't wait for it.

I would suggest this book to everyone; you are absolutely in for a treat!
